I am an artist and photographer (and mother, and wife, and plumber, and dog-catcher...but I digress). I derive inspiration through interaction with my subjects.
A photograph should do more than record a moment: it should encompass time. I am selective about which photos I choose from a session to present to my clients. I re-touch every selection because it is part of my art. I digitally manipulate light, texture, and composional elements to take my work beyond what the lens is given.
I am now living in Cleveland...would you believe there is a "Cleveland" in Utah. It's a stunning place full of contrast; magnificent rock formations creating jagged horizons, harsh stretches of unforgiving desert broken by clusters of cottonwoods and fields, coal mines and lakes nestled in the mountains, horses and RVs dotting the landscape, and hardy fun-loving people. I look forward to immersing myself in this environment!
